WHY?

 Contributive  Commonwealth is required to address the pressing issues of resource depletion, environmental degradation, and the widespread sense of disconnection from nature and community. In urban settings, the lack of shared resources and communal living arrangements exacerbates social isolation and detachment from the environment. By fostering collective stewardship and resource pooling, Contributive  Commonwealth aims to create a sustainable and connected urban community.

THE NEED

Modern urban living often leads to fragmented communities and a disconnection from natural surroundings. The rapid pace of urbanisation, coupled with individualistic lifestyles, has led to a decline in communal support systems and a reduced sense of responsibility towards the environment. This has resulted in increased environmental impact, resource inefficiency, and a lack of cohesive community engagement. The need for a paradigm shift towards more sustainable and connected living arrangements is evident.

SOLUTION

Contributive  Commonwealth meets this need by establishing an intentional community that emphasises collective stewardship of assets, resource pooling, and a reconnection with nature

Our current premises at Folklore Hoxton does not provide the space we need for our intentional community. Thus the time has come to embark on the next stage of our odyssey.
